Meet Dr. Laura Rothe

As an orthodontist, I am humbled to have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. I feel it is a gift to be able to provide care to an individual and know the service I offer can deliver long-term, life-changing results. I truly enjoy the relationships I form with my patients and the journey we take, together, as we transform their smiles.

— Dr. Rothe

Dr. Rothe grew up helping in her father’s dental practice. She observed and admired the relationships he formed as he cared for his patients and how his profession allowed him to help others.  By the time she was in high school, Dr. Rothe knew she wanted to provide healthcare services of some sort. After attending a presentation on forensic dentistry her freshman year of college, she realized the dental field was the perfect combination of two of her greatest interests: art and science.

Dr. Rothe was selected to gain early acceptance into dental school after only three years of undergraduate studies.  As a junior in dental school, she received the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence.  During her senior year, she was recognized as the most productive clinical dental student and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

In dental school, she was drawn to the orthodontic specialty and received the Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex by the American Association of Orthodontists. Beyond the science and art of orthodontics, she appreciated the time it gave for her to develop connections with patients.

Dr. Rothe completed her orthodontic residency program and obtained a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington in 2004.  Her thesis was titled “Trabecular and cortical bone as risk factors for orthodontic relapse.”

For Dr. Rothe, orthodontics is a means of serving others, and helping people feel confident in their smiles!
